Victoria Beckham for Target – Striped Dress

Fashion, Uncategorized

I indeed bought quite a few pieces from Victoria Beckham for Target released a few weeks ago. Today I am wearing a cotton dress in blue stripes. It reminds me of the ticking fabrics of my favorite couch in our house. It has a structured origami looking sleeve design, slightly shorter front hem and gathered waist. It does look similar to a piece from her designer line – at a really affordable price. I put on a jean jacket to keep warm in the air conditioned office space.

Artwork – Sand Art

IMG_6114IMG_6116Last week my daughters stayed at Bright Horizon clubhouse. There they worked on some sand art. I was amazed at the details and patterns they accomplished. Particularly Isabella picked out this Yin/Yang pattern that is a traditional Chinese pattern, so I briefly talked to her about what those stand for and philosophy behind the two being in harmony and complimentary to each other.

Victoria Beckham for Target – Family Coordinates

So over the Easter weekend we all dressed in the white/ black / pink pieces from Victoria Beckham for Target collection. It was so much fun shopping for the girls from this collection because I can find quite a few coordinating pieces that is not identical. When I put the dresses on my girls, their faces just lit up – they felt very pretty in them, as well as comfortable. What else can I ask for?

Easy Sunday Dinner

It is Easter, we had an egg hunt in the backyard that was organized by Allison in the morning. I started the slow cooker beef stroganoff in the morning as well. In the afternoon we picked out some fresh mustard green and boxed couscous from grocery store, as well as some refreshing Tsingtao beer.

It took me less than an hour to prepare the dishes for the family, which we all enjoyed while watching Friends on Netflix. The pictures shows beef stroganoff, chicken couscous and mustard green with minced garlic.IMG_6190IMG_6192IMG_6194IMG_6202IMG_6204

Victoria Beckham for Target

IMG_5774IMG_5776IMG_5780IMG_5784IMG_5786On Sunday Victoria Beckham for Target line became available. So among all the busy things we normally do on a weekend, I was able to squeeze in a stop at a local Target store to check the line out. Overall I was impressed with the offerings. Normally Victoria Beckham’s pieces are priced at premium designer level and are not accessible to an average income household. With the down to earth price tags associated with these Target offerings, we can achieve some of the signature Victoria’s looks without breaking the bank. I am especially drawn to a white collared black long sleeve dress, slim-through -the-thigh-flared-on-the-bottom trousers, heavy weight white bib front button down shirt with French cuffs and daisy prints drop waist sleeveless dress with scalloped neckline. The craftsmanship and fabric are exceptional considering the price point. I am very happy with the values of these pieces.

I also purchased quite a few girls’ pieces. Some of the kids’ line have a nostalgic sensibility, like a bib skirt and bubble overall. I picked out mostly black and white pieces mainly to coordinate among the entire family.

Here are some of the pieces we picked out.
